Maintenance Technician

Summary

The Company is looking to recruit a time served Electrical / Mechanical Maintenance Technician at the Winsford site. The job holder will report to the Engineering Manager and work an appropriate shift pattern to suit manufacturing demand which will include night shifts.


Full Description

Key Accountabilities:

  • To perform routine and regular maintenance of electrical and mechanical machinery and equipment in accordance with the planned maintenance schedule
  • To carry out fault finding to detect and repair electrical and mechanical faults on machinery and equipment
  • Attend to breakdown situations and rectify breakdown problems
  • Supervise external contractors and colleagues as required
  • Timely completion of maintenance requests
  • Ensuring that all routine maintenance activities are completed as scheduled
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company safety rules and health and safety legislation
  • Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with relevant environmental standards

The ideal candidate will have:

  • HNC/HND or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Time served Electrical/Mechanical Engineer
  • Previous experience in an FMCG environment
  • Working knowledge of maintenance systems
  • Strong diagnostic skills
  • Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and motor control circuitry
  • Ability to work well within a team with a flexible approach
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety in the workplace
  • Willing to undertake training on an on-going basis
  • Experience of continuous improvement practices
